Baby Shamili has reasons to smile. The soft spoken actress who prefers to keep a low profile, made her debut as heroine in Oye! telugu film opposite Siddharth. The movie released last friday all over, is receiving a positive response among the audience as well as doing a decent collections at the Andhra box office. The movie has been appreciated by the critics also.
Baby Shamili as a child artist, had already won the hearts of millions in south India with her outstanding performance at the age of four in Mani Ratnam’s classic children’s film Anjali.
For a long while, this cute and bubbly girl had flooded with many offers in Tamil and Malayalam to play the heroine, but she was waiting for the right opportunity.
Shamili, with her demure girl- next-door looks and gripping performance, has made her character Sandhya in Oye! (who’s stricken with terminal disease) work big time with the audiences. The buzz is that, she will stick to her image which has made her a bankable star in Telugu, and avoid doing glam roles.
