The Movie:
All The Best is a clean sitcom packed with clever punches and witty one liners. Its a comedy film based on hilarious situations resulting from mistaken identities and chaos. This one’s for the entire family during the festive season.
The Story:
Veer (Fardeen Khan) is a singer by profession settled in Goa. He is greed and is making a daily living out of the money sent by his step-brother Dharam (Sanjay Dutt), a businessman who is in London. Veer always lies about his single status as ‘happily married. His friend Prem (Ajay Devgan) a car expert helps him in this.
Though in reality Veer is in love with Vidya (Mugdha Godse) but her father hates him. Prem however is married to Jhanvi (Bipasha Basu) who is looking after his ancestor’s outdated gymnasium. Things go out of control for Prem and Veer as they end up losing a lot of money and are neck deep in debt which they are unable to repay. Just Dharam lands in Goa, where these guys reside, to detour himself on his way to Lusoto. With his sudden arrival, Veer and Prem don’t get time to cover up their lies and Dharam mistakes Jhanvi to be Veer’s wife and Vidya to be Prem’s girlfriend. Chaotic situations begins when the girlfriends are mistakenly shuffled and understood, creating in chaos and hilarious comedy forms the rest of the film.
Performances:
After Golmaal series, Ajay Devgan once again showcases his comedy skills. He is slowly becoming professional to take such funny roles. Fardeen has done a decent performance. Fardeen is once again the suffering third hero who has to pay for mess created by his smarter friends. Though similar to No Entry and Life Partner, Fardeen is still likeable. Sanjay Dutt gets the best lines and is presented in a way that does justice to his seniority. His comedy is slapstick, natural and enjoyable.
Other than these 3 lead actors, the man who steals the show is none other than Johnny Lever. He leaves his hilarious trademark expressions on screen. He is quite easily the star of the climax - towering above the protagonists.
Coming to actresses, Bipasha Basu has a good stylist after a long time. She has delivered a striking performance in the film. Being just starting out, Mughda Godse tries to be equally as dashing as Bipasha Basu. But both Basu and Mugdha Godse, have little to do in an all-boys madness.
Pritam’s music is not much appealing except the title song which is already on charts. The song is also the costliest song in the history of Hindi cinema till date.
Director Rohit Shetty once again brings the laugh riots in big screen, dished out in the name of mass entertainers.
Verdict:
With clean and witty storyline, this one’s for the entire family during the festive season.
